My name is Hawa. I am a 19-year-old filmmaker and content creator with a lifelong passion for filmmaking, storytelling, animation and cinematography. Filmmaking has never been just a hobby for me… It’s my mission!

Ever since I was 12 years old and I realized that becoming a film director is my calling (technically I’ve been using a camera since I was three years old and I started uploading my first YouTube videos when I was nine, meaning that the signs have, in fact, always been there for me from the start), I’ve started to develop my personal creative style, particularly in the horror genre and psychological thrillers as well as character studies and emotional dramas.

I’m especially fascinated by the darker sides of the human psyche, emotions that can’t be explained by words alone but can be only felt through art, like music and movies, as well as gloomy, melancholic atmospheres and the horrifying, tragic but also beautiful/bittersweet aspects of the human experience.

Despite the big scale and epic themes of some of my projects, the inner conflicts of my main characters, their worldview and the experiences that shaped them to become the way they are are always at the forefront in my stories. The never-ending battle with the self, meaning the idea of “You are your own worst enemy“ is the heart of 95% of all my movies/series.

On top of that, I’m someone who is always curious to explore new genres and formats in order to constantly broaden my horizons. I would love to create music videos, short movies, (animated) web series (like “Into The Red Sky“) and much, MUCH MORE at some point in the near future. I also have an endless number of original film/series ideas and story concepts that I hope to realize one day.

This 2D-animated web series is a personal passion project, born from the desire to finally bring one of those long-developed stories to life. 

“Into The Red Sky“ is currently in the early development phase, where I will basically be refining the script and looking for potential collaborators before I eventually move into major production steps. Every creative decision I make in this early phase is made deliberately so that I can build a strong foundation for everything that awaits “Into The Red Sky“’s production in the future.

This project is driven by passion, a deep respect for the craft of filmmaking/animation and patience. If the project takes longer, so be it… My only priority is to ensure that the show can reach its full potential and I want to give “Into The Red Sky“ the time and care the project needs to be done right.  

I also can’t promise to hire anyone before funding is fully secured. Why? Because I refuse to hire talented people to work on one of my projects just for “exposure“. I believe that every person who works on my stories and helps realize my worlds deserves to be fairly compensated and rewarded for their dedication. Without a talented crew, I am just a guy with a script and a dream.
